Internal Audit Quality (AIM) UB is a systematic and independent examination to determine whether the implementation of the Internal Quality Assurance System (SPMI) effective and appropriate planning which is conducted by work unit at the Universitas Brawijaya (UB). AIM at UB conducted to examine the compatibility between defined quality standards, in the Quality Management System (SMM) of Academic, Finance and Administration with its implementation by work unit at UB, one of which is the Unit of Aquaculture Work Study Program Work Unit.

Quality Internal Audit (AIM) is helpful for:

  • Assisting to identify any or discrepancy that has and or is happening, as well as cases that later have a tendency to cause problems (mismatch).
  • Ensuring compliance of documented system to referred standards requirements.
  • Ensuring compliance of implemented activities with documented system.
  • Ensuring consistent of system implementation.
  • Ensuring the effectiveness of the system implementation.
  • Improving/developing the system.


As an organization which implement the quality management system (SMM) based on ISO 9001:2008, then through PJM, Aquaculture Study Program regularly undergo an evaluation of the SMM implementation ISO 9001:2008 by external parties, that is, ISO certification body Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance (LRQA ) with certificate number JKT6003728.

The evaluation conducted regularly every 6 months, that is through the assessment before certification and surveillance program after certification. This activity takes place during the certification contract is within three years, starting in 2011 till 2014.
